Lauren and Lo: Double Date For Breakfast
Lauren Conrad, Lo Bosworth, and their men, Kyle Howard and Scott Hochstadt, were spotted enjoying breakfast at Blue Jam Cafe in Los Angeles yesterday morning.
In a perfect world, they would have been filming for an episode of The Hills, but no, just having a normal, friendly breakfast that will never air on MTV.

Lauren Conrad Tunes Audrina Out
Perhaps it’s because she’s now a bestselling author, but Hills star Lauren Conrad isn’t watching much TV these days and that includes her former co-star Audrina Patridge’s upcoming reality show. Lauren told E! Online last night, “I don’t like to watch people I know on TV… it’s weird. Even friends of mine that are actors, I don’t like to watch their shows. There’s just something weird about it.” Could she be referencing her boyfriend actor Kyle Howard’s show? Maybe he refuses to read her book too.
Lauren now lives in a condo with Lo Bosworth
Lo doesn’t mind the lack of support for her show because she says she plans to leave it soon as well. “I guess we’re waiting to see if there’s going to be another season or not, but I’m leaning towards being done,” Lo said. She plans on starting a hosting career and Lauren plans to write more books and has a clothing line coming out at Kohl’s.

Lauren Conrad: Shape Magazine September '09
When we last checked in with Lauren Conrad for our January 2008 cover, she seemed to have everything going for her: She was the star of the hit reality show The Hills, and her high-end clothing line was in chic boutiques around the country. Yet, despite her outward success, Lauren now admits her confidence was really flagging. "People I thought I could count on were undermining me, and my self-esteem took a hit," she says. Fast-forward 18 months and it's a very different Lauren who bounces into a New York City photo studio. Despite dramatic changes in her career, the natural beauty is glowing with energy and confidence. What changed? Since quitting the show, the 23-year-old has achieved her dream of writing a novel (L.A. Candy topped the New York Times bestsellers list as this issue went to press), and she's started a budget-friendly fashion line for Kohls, which she says reflects who she is better than her previous designs. The quintessential California girl not only shares her secrets for looking gorgeous, she also opens up to Shape about how she's become more self-assured. "I'm much more comfortable with who I an now," she says. "I've learned that you've got to stay true to yourself. It's the only way you'll be really happy."
EMBRACE CHANGE MAKE YOUR WORKOUT FIT YOUR LIFESTYLE
CURB YOUR CRAVINGS
When a pizza craving does hit, however, rather than deprive herself, she's discovered a healthy alternative: "At California Pizza Kitchen, they make a salad pizza with greens, tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette on a very thin crust," she says. "It tastes great without the guilt."
GET YOUR HEART RATE UPOne of the best things to happen to Lauren this year was starting a relationship with actor Kyle Howard. But after just a few months of dating, Lauren found she was getting soft around her middle. "I call it the 'boyfriend layer,'" she says, laughing. "We were having more romantic dinners out, and I was exercising less." To get back on track, the couple started working out together. "We like doing outdoor stuff: tennis, bike riding, kayaking, stand-up surfing, hiking in the canyons around L.A.," says Lauren. "I just ask Kyle, 'You feel like working out?' It's more fun than hitting the gym alone."
FIND YOUR STRENGTH
Lauren's confidence got a jump-start after a pep talk from her mother and a close friend. "Nine months ago, I reached my breaking point," she says. "I felt bad about myself because certain people were relentlessly attacking me and my reputation. My mom kept saying, 'Let it go, Lauren. It doesn't matter.' My friend also sat me down and asked, 'Why do you care what people say about you? How does it really affect you at the end of the day?' I couldn't come up with a good answer and realized I had to stop worrying about what other people think. The next day I got a tattoo on my lower back that says 'sticks and stones,' because they may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Once I let go of that, I felt more confident about myself. And that," she says, "made my decision to leave The Hills pretty easy."

Lauren Plans Bachelorette Party In Las Vegas!
When it comes to planning bachelorette parties, Lauren Conrad knows how to work it. LC kicked off a Vegas weekend celebrating the bachelorette party of her cousin Cheryl with dinner at TAO Asian Bistro at The Venetian on Friday night. The group of seven, including Conrad’s mother Kathy, sipped Lychee Martinis and feasted on specialties from the kitchen, including Satay Bass, Kung Pao Chicken and Vegetable Dumplings, finishing with a platter of desserts. After dinner they adjourned to a skybox in the nightclub for Champagne toasts, Grey Goose cocktails and dancing.
The party continued on Saturday as Conrad and friends took over a cabana at Tao Beach at The Venetian.
Despite the rain, LC continued the party and was overheard talking on the red carpet about her boyfriend Kyle Howard mentioning how everything was “great.” After Tao Beach the party continued as LC and her crew arrived at LAVO at The Palazzo and the final night of the bachelorette weekend. While they dined in a booth near the back of LAVO, the party was impossible to miss, with bride-to-be Cheryl donning items from the TAO Group’s Bachelorette Party Bag, including jewelry and accessories that glowed with a bright red light.
Silliness ensued as the night went on and they took over a VIP table on the dance floor. They danced all night to the sounds of DJ Eric DLux and toasted amid the screams of pure Vegas bachelorette bliss.

Lauren Conrad: TAO Beach Party Girl
Enjoying a weekend in Sin City, Lauren Conrad was on hand as host at TAO Beach at the Venetian Hotel and Casino Resort in Las Vegas on Saturday (August 22). Joined by her mother Kathy, the former Hills hottie looked sexy as she posed for pictures in a silver two-piece bikini with a sheer black cover-up overtop.

The party duties come on the heels of a recent interview with Shape magazine, in which LC talked about getting in shape for bikini season.
As far as eating is concerned, Miss Conrad tells, “I’ve found when all I’m eating is really fresh, healthy foods, I stop craving pizza and burgers.”
And physical fitness is also key, something which Lauren likes to do alongside boyfriend Kyle Howard, as she explains, “I just ask Kyle, ‘You feel like working out?’ It’s more fun than hitting the gym alone. We like doing outdoor stuff: tennis, bike riding, kayaking, stand-up surfing, hiking in the canyons around L.A.”

Lauren Conrad Stays in Shape
“I call it the ‘boyfriend layer’,” The former star of The Hills tells Shape magazine. “We were having more romantic dinners out, and I was exercising less.”
So what’s a girl to do? Take her date to the gym, of course! “I just ask Kyle, ‘You feel like working out?’ It’s more fun than hitting the gym alone,” says LC.
The couple spends most of their time outdoors anyway. “We like doing outdoor stuff: tennis, bike riding, kayaking, surfing, hiking,” Lauren Conrad says.
For her new Shape cover, the New York Times best-selling author chats about her romance with Howard and her new clothing line (LC Lauren Conrad) for Kohl’s.
Her line of affordable and flattering jeans and blouses, which hits stores this October, will be perfect for every shape, says the celebrity fashion designer, 23.
“It’s all about finding silhouettes that highlight the best parts of your figure,” says Lauren. Judging by the cover above, she doesn't need help in that arena!

Take This, Heidi: LC's Showin' Off Her Curves!
According to FitCeleb.com (who's got the cover scoop!), LC knows exactly how settling down with someone can lead to unwanted weight gain. In fact, she even has a name for it! "I call it the 'boyfriend layer'," she tells Shape. "[Kyle and I] were having more romantic dinners out, and I was exercising less."
But where there's a will, there's a way. And, the way Lauren sees it, where there's a boyfriend, there's a built-in gym buddy! "I just ask Kyle, 'You feel like working out?'" says the Hills star. Her rationale? "It's way more fun than hitting the gym alone!"

Five Things LC Won't Miss About The Hills
Lauren Conrad left a lot of friends, fans and memories behind on The Hills, but not everything about saying g'bye to the show was bittersweet. As we told you last week, LC's departure meant the end of the Granny Panties era (apparently, she needed thicker, sturdier undies to support the mics!). And according to Harper's Bazaar, the minor indignities didn't end there. Below, five more things LC says she won't miss about reality TV (via Usmagazine.com). 1. Having her men pre-approved. Ever had trouble finding a date for Saturday night? How about finding a dude willing to do the first date thing on film? According to LC, getting a guy to "sign a release form" is even less fun than it sounds. Case in point, her current boyfriend: the perennially camera-shy Kyle Howard.
2. No spontaneous vacays. Much like the men in her life, all of LC's trips had to be run by Hills production. "I couldn't take a vacation without clearing it months and months ahead of time," LC recalls. On the plus side, think of all the boring family commitments that excuse got her out of!!
3. Home decor "help." Before any major repainting projects, LC would consult with a director of photography to make sure her new color palette meshed with the set lighting.
4. RSVPing "No" To Diddy's White Party. Forget the Clorox Bleach. LC claims she had to forgo whites and prints for years because "they don't look good on film." Lucky for her, she looks amazing in solids!
5. Party planning in twos. Needless to say, not all of LC's peeps were cool with chatting it up on camera. So she was forced to become an (involuntary) birthdayzilla! "I had to have separate birthday parties for my filming and non-filming friends," she admits.

K-Cav's Dating Rules: Impress Me In Two Minutes, Or I'm Gone
Lauren Conrad wasn't comfortable showing off her boy Kyle Howard on The Hills, but single gal Kristin Cavallari promises she'll be dating up a storm when the show returns. And while she denies shacking up with Audrina Patridge's ex ("I'm not dating Justin Bobby!" she proclaimed earlier this week), K-Cav sez she totally believes in lust at first sight. "I can tell within the first two minutes if I'm into someone or not," Cavallari told the New York Post yesterday. "I can always tell if I get butterflies. The first thing I notice about a guy is his face, but once he opens his mouth and talks it can all change."
Oh, and if you ever do find yourself on a date with the lippy Laguna girl, do NOT try and win her over with those lame-o pet names, like "Shmoopie." ("That is super cheesy," scoffed K-Cav. "I've [never] had one and I don't think I ever want one.")
While Kristin's not ready to dish on her personal life (you'll have to wait and see it unfold on The Hills!), she had lots to say about her other big love: acting. "I can't wait for people to see this movie and take me seriously as an actress," Cavallari said of her new flick, Van Wilder: Freshman Year.
Don't worry, Kristin, we're fully aware that if there's anyone out there who knows how to bring the drama, it's you.

Lauren Conrad & Audrina Patridge: Short, but sweet
For a time, when Lauren had just lost Heidi as one of her best friends, along came Audrina to save the day. As Audrina moved in with Lauren, the two started to hit it off. In spite of Lauren's growing troubles, Audrina was there to take Lauren through it. L&A formed a bond, and an appeal that no one could ever match. From club appearances, to working out, to doing scenes on The Hills together, or just hanging out, L&A even made the sun shine at night.
L&A's togetherness alone illuminated the world, let alone a TV screen, or even a room. Lauren and Audrina played so well together, that the two would remind fans of a teddy bear collection that people just had to have, which were so cuddly, and so cute. For MTV, this was pure heaven, The Hills in Season 3 became the highest rated show on MTV ever, with over 4 million viewers. But as 2007 ended, and all of last year and this year, the bond that Lauren and Audrina once formed was no more. In all that time, Lauren's insecurities got in the way, while Audrina's hunger for fame became more present. To make matters worse, Lo and Stephanie got more face time, Lauren was lured by Lo and Stephanie, and Audrina felt compelled to get more attention since Audrina felt Lauren wasn't giving it to her.
Even if it meant trying to claim that Lauren hooked up with Audrina's boyfriend, Justin-Bobby. While Lauren and Audrina deteriorated, so did the ratings of The Hills. It went from 4.5 million, to 2 million viewers. Now, the end result is Lauren and Audrina have no friendship whatsoever, when the cameras stop rolling. As Lauren Conrad now focuses on her future and Kyle Howard, and Audrina Patridge moves on to her own reality venture, we can only hope that Lauren and Audrina will cross paths again one day to pick up where they left off. Maybe one day Lauren can let Audrina help her as a person, and Audrina can be truthful about Lauren's flaws instead of rattling to other people about it, and these two can once again be an awesome two-some. And walk hand and hand in the garden of happiness, so their friendship can blossom, and share their differences and similarities, and have more things in common than just The Hills.
