Clubkid Queen
So this was taken NYE at the Delano but you know this is a club kid imported from NYC because no where else have I seen such extreme nightlife glamour. I want to say this is Veruschka but I need to verify this with Jordan Fox or Contessa...

Holiday Sparkle
It's a festive time of year and this girls outfit firmly puts her in the camp of the glitterati...love the creativity but think maybe other shoes would be a better option. Any suggestions?

Bouffantitis
I love the insanity of New York City. These 3 look like they helped each other get matching hairstyles. It's perfect!

Golden Girls
These 2 lovely ladies are friends of my friend, the designer Brian Sloane –in his designs. His showroom closed but he's opening another one soon and all the deets will be here. So stay tuned!

NYFW: Women in Black
The incomparable Ms. Sophia Lamar always turns it out, so why would fashion week be any different? The brilliant leggings are by Agamic and I love the bubble shorts and floppy bowtie and Ray Bans.
This girl, Cecilia, spoke english with a bit of an accent but informed me that her t-shirt is Prada, the leggings Max Mara, shoes from Top Shop and bag by Balenciaga. And really, what more do we need to know?

Backstage at Malan Breton
This fashion week was especially insane for me. In addition to just the general madness that is NYFW, my dog (not pictured) was so sick he had to be hospitalized and a tornado struck my apartment in Brooklyn causing serious water damage and - even worse - made me miss my favorite runway show and party. That being said, there is still plenty to share!

There are so many fantastic people (and in this case pooches) backstage that you never see on the runway.

Dean Modah was playing around with Cooper, a fabulous poodle and the understudy dog backstage before the show.

But of course I needed a photo of him alone to show off his style as well. I am loving the hair and the sequined pants!

Seen at FW: Celebrity EyewearDesigners
Apparently if you design shades worn by Lady GaGa and other celebrities you need to be up on your style game.

CoCo and Breezy rock a goth punk look and made the well dressed ladies at the tents look boringly tasteful in comparison.

Stevie Boi (center), who I with members of his team made an appearance downtown at The Sachika Twins show.

Fashion Week: Night 4 was fierce and fabulous
I know that we just officially finished "Day 5" but I had to post a few photos from the Tommy Hilfiger party. I was going to stay home Sunday night but a call from my friend Aleks to come to the Tommy Hilfiger show and 25th Anniversary party got me out of Brooklyn. The show was too crowded to shoot but the party? A-MA-ZING! (so good I skipped another "exclusive" party to stay)

No I don't know what the hell this girl is wearing either but I could not keep my eyes off her. She has that kind of presence. Oh and she's gorgeous!!!

And these 3 are poptarts –I mean popSTARS in Japan. But I lost their card so if you recognize them let me know. And if you like more of the model-y blackstage photos follow me on twitter where I'll be posting them regularly.

Stefania Pia Reception at EVA New York
Last night EVA New York had an opening of a special one-month installation by artist and jewelry designer Stefania Pia. It was naturally full of beautiful people...as seen here...and more photos from me on their blog soon!

Making a Statement
Every once in a while I hear someone refer to an article of clothing as a "statement piece" and while I'm not always sure what qualifies.. I think her jacket definitely does! She caught my attention immediately when she walked into the BlackBook Magazine party with her friends. It's a Stephen Sprouse design and I love the pop art aesthetic mixed with the glamour that comes from it being entirely sequined...which is kind of hard to see in the photo. A really great look!

Seen at Black Book Magazine party
Last night I shot the Black Book Magazine party at the new Gansevoort Hotel on 29th and Park. It was a fun party full of pretty people. These girls were also really nice, and I love that they are wearing color! I find that I am wearing more and more black and with fashion week coming it's so easy to fall into the black uniform trap. So it's great to see fun flirty dresses that are fearless when it comes to adding a little color into our lives!

boys will be...
I didn't post yesterday. Very rare and my apologies. But to make up for it I'll do two postings today. What do we think of these looks? Do we like the cartoon print sweatshirt that reminds me of children's bedding with the leggings and black shoes? I found these boys rather endearing in an odd sort of way.

Where to go on Fashion's Night Out?
I am aware that this photo won't likely make it to New York Magazine's style blog round up, or any of the other compendiums and publications which ask for photos from Style Defined NYC –which I am more than happy to share! But I do find it tiresome that style blog compendiums all seem to favor the more anemic looking, slightly bored teenagers to showcase. I was recently interviewed as to my style inspirations and cited the Latina girls on the #6 train and NYC club culture –particularly Ladyfag and Kenny Kenny. I also sent photos of the latter. When the interview came out they deleted the whole part about NYC club culture and frankly this pisses me off. So! When thinking of a photo suitable for a posting on (well it meant to be a posting on) Fashion's Night Out I thought this one would be perfect: Alot of glitter and not much else to hide behind but out loud and proud - much like FNO itself!
If you're in NYC I've compiled a list of 15 top places to go. If you have other suggestions please leave them as a comment!

Happy Birthday Becka Diamond
The uber-gorgeous Becka Diamond celebrated her birthday last night at the Soho Grand with her nearest and dearest. She struck a pouty rocker chick pose for this photo so I added a few below with friends!

Color Coordination
When I see someone with such perfect –and perfectly artificial– color match between hair and clothing I always wonder which came first? I can't begin to know...and even though it could read as a little cheesy, I really like it.

It's all about accessorizing
These girls kept their clothes simple but caught our attention with everything else: shiny lips, eyes and jewelry and great hair let them easily stand out in the crowd.

3-for-1
Skinny, shiny with sequins: these 3 boys are ready for anything this weekend...and I covet the lips on the boy in the middle. I do have to ask, however, what is up with the "Rosary-as-necklace" that seems to be around the neck of every other person I photograph lately. There is a fine line between being 'on trend' and trying too hard. I think rosaries belong in a church or bedside table. Thoughts?

my favorite hair - next to my own!
I think this boy has a great look. I love the hair and that he has no eyebrows (whether by chance or choice is irrelevant to me!) The crazy leggings and the keds?...not my thing but I'll let him get away with whatever he wants.

(Chic + Rage) * (Perverted + Cool) = Cody Ross
A Q & A with the madman behind Priestess NYC

Forget the props he got from Rihanna recently. It's Cody Ross's unique point of view, constantly morphing and mutating his Priestess NYC line with a tantalizing cross-section of coolness, cosmopolitanism, wearability and straight-up fun. Even Walter Van Beirendonck would be intrigued by Cody’s fashion propositions.
After a few cocktails chez lui, Cody agreed to a spur of the moment Q & A.
What’s hot right now in fashion?
Atalanta Weller, Anne Pachan’s swimwear line “Cala Ossidiana”,
Jean-Pierre Braganza, Millie Cockton, Hannah Marshall and Gemma Slack! Oh, and I just previewed Pleasure Principle’s new range and it’s impossibly cool!
What’s in your ipod?
Die Antwoord, Dommin, Depeche Mode, Boyz II Men, Lucas Banker,
Isaac Mutant.
What visual art have you been eyeing?
Leon Botha, Marianne Aulie, and Banksy & Co.
Where do you shop?
Seven NY and cool showrooms around the city.
Do aliens exist?
Yeah, but a hundred billion galaxies away (making contact could be seriously risky!).
What are you reading these days?
Chris Trela’s super-cool new book “The Autobiography & Sex Life of Andy Warhol.”
Wow! You should meet Lindsay of Outlaws of the Border. She's reading alot about Warhol lately too. Maybe it's in the air!
Who’s your favorite ‘it’ girl?
SIGRED AGREN or anyone who looks like her! And lately I’m crazy for that Israeli girl, Luda Dolgun!
If you could clone a girl and then make out with the both of them tonight who would it be? Melissa B.
Who has cool style?
Brittany Kubat and Yo-Landi Vi$$er from Die Antwoord. And of course, Katya from Style Defined!
Ha! Okay, cool. Thanks!
