So this was taken NYE at the Delano but you know this is a club kid imported from NYC because no where else have I seen such extreme nightlife glamour.  I want to say this is Veruschka but I need to verify this with Jordan Fox or Contessa...

Crazy Colorful

These girls are full of color and sparkle. I am utterly intrigued by the hair color combo on the girl on the left and while I'm a fan of sequins at night I'm not completely convinced in this instance. So thought I'd ask... do we like the style going on here? and if not how would you make it better?

I love these two: so unabashedly PINK! ***WHERE did he get that suit?!? And I love how sassy she looks with the bow on top but really covet her silver shoes. I am a complete sucker for silver and for high heels so this is the perfect combo in my opinion!

Thank you Wangari M for giving me the info on the suit. I Googled it and yes, it is indeed a Moods of Norway suit!  There website is brilliant and I have to say since I'm 50% Norwegian I love to see fashion coming out of there :)

Happy Birthday Malik So Chic

Last night the always unique Malik celebrated his birthday in style at The Box downtown. Since they don't allow photos at The Box I took this one of Malik on his way inside. Sparkling with sequins underneath layers of sheer ruffles MSC was every inch the birthday gurl.

Sleeping standing up on the subway platform

I took this photo without this girl knowing...I don't normally do that but she was on the far subway platform and she really caught my eye – but then happened to have her eyes closed when I took the shot. I know it's not the most unique style, but I like it.

Backstage at Malan Breton

This fashion week was especially insane for me. In addition to just the general madness that is NYFW, my dog (not pictured) was so sick he had to be hospitalized and a tornado struck my apartment in Brooklyn causing serious water damage and - even worse - made me miss my favorite runway show and party. That being said, there is still plenty to share!

There are so many fantastic people (and in this case pooches) backstage that you never see on the runway.

Dean Modah was playing around with Cooper, a fabulous poodle and the understudy dog backstage before the show.


But of course I needed a photo of him alone to show off his style as well. I am loving the hair and the sequined pants!

Apparently if you design shades worn by Lady GaGa and other celebrities you need to be up on your style game. 

CoCo and Breezy rock a goth punk look and made the well dressed ladies at the tents look boringly tasteful in comparison.

Fashion Week: Night 4 was fierce and fabulous

I know that we just officially finished "Day 5" but I had to post a few photos from the Tommy Hilfiger party. I was going to stay home Sunday night but a call from my friend Aleks to come to the Tommy Hilfiger show and 25th Anniversary party got me out of Brooklyn. The show was too crowded to shoot but the party? A-MA-ZING! (so good I skipped another "exclusive" party to stay)

No I don't know what the hell this girl is wearing either but I could not keep my eyes off her. She has that kind of presence. Oh and she's gorgeous!!!

Making a Statement

Every once in a while I hear someone refer to an article of clothing as a "statement piece" and while  I'm not always sure what qualifies.. I think her jacket definitely does! She caught my attention immediately when she walked into the BlackBook Magazine party with her friends. It's a Stephen Sprouse design and I love the pop art aesthetic mixed with the glamour that comes from it being entirely sequined...which is kind of hard to see in the photo. A really great look!

So Chic, Malik

I've been in and out a bit this summer so I haven't seen "the usual suspects" as frequently as during the rest of the year. So it was lovely to run into Malik so Chic last night for the Citta event. He was appropriately attired in a vintage coat from India.

I think this girl is totally adorable. I love the high waisted shorts and how she chose to wear no jewelry. ...and how she is totally oblivious to how he seemed to have a spill...

3-for-1

Skinny, shiny with sequins: these 3 boys are ready for anything this weekend...and I covet the lips on the boy in the middle. I do have to ask, however, what is up with the "Rosary-as-necklace" that seems to be around the neck of every other person I photograph lately. There is a fine line between being 'on trend' and trying too hard. I think rosaries belong in a church or bedside table. Thoughts?

...thought I'd post this photo today. I love how the fellow on the left is looking slightly askance at his friend. And who doesn't love a marching band jacket decorated with skulls or a dress with mermaid sequins worn with a fade haircut? Lovely!

Boyz in Shorts

Girls aren't the only ones wearing shorts this summer. These two were seen at a recent Adidas event (in Keds???) I love the plaid with the camouflage and the insane skull jewelery with a matching tattoo. Now that's a commitment to a fashion statement!

Last night was a birthday party for NYC nightlife diva Sophia Lamar. It was at the Tribeca Grand Hotel and dj'ed by the Misshapes and it was a great night all 'round.
