Katy Perry: I'd Rather 'Tease' Than Pose Nude

Katy Perry isn't shy about showing some skin – just don't expect her to bare all.

"I like to play [the sexy] card because it's fun and definitely in my deck, but I like to tease," Perry says in the December issue of British Cosmopolitan. "I'm like a burlesque girl. I definitely won't be doing a Playboy spread, but I will be doing a kind of Dita Von Teese style."

Being married to Russell Brand is what, Perry says, makes her feel unconditionally sexy.

"I'm confident in my skin I guess, lately," she explains. "I think that when you're in a supportive relationship, you don't care anymore about outside. Things that may have irked you before don't matter because you found someone who loves you no matter what."

Adds Perry, "I guess it's a mixture of, 'Hey, I'm 26, and I know these are my prime years and I feel confident,' and being loved-up."

She's fresh off of getting married to comedian Russell Brand, and Katy Perry is now featured on the December 2010 cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine.

In the interview, the "Thinking of You" singer talks about being Mrs. Brand, her risqué style, body image, and more while having partaken in a glamorous photo shoot accompanying the spread.

On her husband, Russell Brand, and his spiritual quest, Katy tells, “I always knew I wanted a great man of God, someone who was going to be an inspiration for people and also be a lovely husband and father. We’re at different places in our lives, but we can still grow together. He’s thought-provoking, articulate, a real advocate. I also definitely wanted to have a laugh. I have all that in him.”

As for being part of a new generation of pop stars including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Fergie, Perry dishes, “We’re all unique. That’s why we all win and we all can exist. People don’t want just vanilla. They want 31 flavors. I couldn’t do what Rihanna does. I couldn’t do what Gaga does. They can’t do what I do.”

Also touching on her image, Perry dishes, “I’m kind of a good girl—and I’m not,” she says. “I’m a good girl because I really believe in love, integrity, and respect. I’m a bad girl because I like to tease. I know that I have sex appeal in my deck of cards. But I like to get people think­ing. That’s what the stories in my music do.”

VMAs: Pix, Clips & Full Fashion Recap

The VMAs always bring out the biggest stars, and last night the Hills cast were there in droves, with everyone -- except Spencer, Heidi, and Audrina -- getting in on the Radio City action.

Kristin Cavallari Hits the 2009 MTV VMAs

Always up for red carpet festivities, Kristin Cavallari was on hand for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday evening (September 13).

Dressed in a stylish silver ensemble, the MTV reality babe posed for pictures before entering Radio City Music Hall for the night’s ceremony.

As previously reported by Gossip Center, the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards are to be hosted by British comedian Russell Brand.

With plenty of top acts lined up for the evening, the show and will air live at 9PM ET/PT on MTV.
