TMZ has learned Stephanie Pratt was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence early this morning in Hollywood. Law enforcement tells us Pratt, who appears frequently on MTV's The Hills, was busted this morning at 3:45 AM PT in Hollywood. She was taken into custody. Her bail is set at $5,000. Pratt is still in custody. She's just been booked.

UPDATE: A source close to Pratt tells us Stephanie had just left Holly Montag's birthday party when she was pulled over. Our source says cops watched Stephanie get in her car and were waiting to bust her.

UPDATE: So how's this for crazy. We're told some spectators who had just gotten out of a club saw Pratt get busted. Some started taking pictures, which ticked off some of the others and a big fight broke out on the street while Stephanie was being cuffed. But Steph was the only one taken into custody.

Treating herself to a personal pampering session, Holly Montag was spotted getting her hair done by Nam Nguyen for her birthday yesterday afternoon (October 15) at Parlour on 3rd.

Joined by BFF Staci Hall, the Hills babe looked pleased with the outcome of her new coif while chilling out at a hair salon in Los Angeles.

Miss Montag also made sure to get her eyelashes done by Calma Yom in order to complete her primped appearance.

Earlier in the week, Holly was in Las Vegas kicking off her birthday week with a big bash at The Bank nightclub inside the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

The Hills Season Premiere Recap: 'It's On, Bitch!'

On Tuesday night's season premiere of The Hills, Kristin Cavallari made her presence felt early and often. Amazing what huge paychecks and scripts can do. Meanwhile, Spencer put a deposit on a house without telling his duck-lipped plastic wife. Below, The Hollywood Gossip staff reviews Kristin's first episode of MTV's long-running "reality" TV series and awards and deducts points as it sees fit ...

The last-season-in-review montage showing Lauren Conrad departing airs, with Kristin as the show's new narrator. That's cold, MTV. Minus 2.

The girls sit around, giving us the 411 on Kristin Cavallari, who they've just been informed will be on The Hills ... and will be their new friend, apparently. Hey, at least their disdain is for real. Plus 5.

Why would Spencer assume Kristin would go after Justin-Bobby, who looks homeless and by all accounts does not bathe, of all the people at the party? What about Frankie Delgado or Sleazy T? This whole scenario is ridiculous. Minus 16.

Plus 9 for the obligatory Brody Jenner shirtless and sleeveless shots, and Plus 2 more because Jayde Nicole shows no signs of Joe Francis whomping on her.

Stacie the bartender calls Audrina a stage-five clinger. Plus 2 for Stacie's unexplained, contrived appearance on the show, and Plus 2 more for the use of Wedding Crashers quotes.

Even Kristin's voice sounds fake, like she's trying too hard to sound overly dramatic on her "date" with Justin. Minus 3.

Spencer puts a deposit down on a place without telling Heidi, who hates it. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Plus 12.

TOTAL: +9! The Hills is what it is. If you can get past how obviously staged it all is, there's still a lot of drama and entertainment value to be enjoyed.

Kristin Talks About John Mayer, Whitney and Lo on Their Shows, Stacie and Justin Bobby?!

Lots of ladies from The Hills and The City hit the red carpet at last night's MTV VMAs. We chatted a little with the shows' stars about all the changes to come this season, with Whitney Port and Lo Boswoth sharing some previews. Kristin Cavallari addressed her rumored romance with John Mayer, while Stacie Hall revealed one rather big spoiler. Here's more:

• Kristin on allegedly dating John Mayer: "It's funny because I've met him one time, for 5 seconds at a big press event like this. I don't know, it's always funny how these rumors get started."
• Stacie on what to expect from her next season: "I find myself in a lot, a lot of drama I didn't think I was a dramatic person. . . definitely with boys. That's gonna happen. . . "
• Could it be Justin Bobby? "Maybe. . . (smiles)."
• Lo on next season: "You're going to see a lot of new female faces — not just Kristin. You're going to see new troublemakers, which you know, it kind of makes me a little uncomfortable! I've kind of been there since the beginning, and I want it to be exactly what it was and it's not anymore."
• Stephanie on Heidi and Spencer's baby plans: "I was with them and they started talking about freezing eggs and stuff, and I was like, "Ew, you guys! I'm right here.'"

• On Jay returning to The City: "I'm not sure, to be perfectly honest. I mean, he is my friend and he's in and out of my life. But I haven't seen any of the episodes yet, so. . . "

Stephanie:

• On what's coming up with her: "I'm a serial dater. I don't have a boyfriend — I want to date every single guy ever. But, I will play the bad cop, there's so much BS between the girls, I will call them out."
• On Stacy's comments about Justin Bobby: "She needs a publicist to tell her not to talk about the show! Yeah, it gets nuts."

Stacie:

• On if we'll see lots more of her this season: "Yeah, it's weird. Like on the last season, I didn't even mean to be on it — it was unintentional. Now I'm in the group!"

Frankie Delgado also chatted with us about the ongoing issue between Brody Jenner, his girlfriend Jayde Nicole and Joe Francis, saying that her face is all better after the alleged assault a few weeks ago. That won't be a part of the season, but we're sure to see lots more of them all when The Hills is back in just fifteen days!

Sporting a sexy bathing suit, Kristin Cavallari took to Malibu Beach to film scenes for her upcoming season of The Hills.

The blond Cali girl sported a trendy black tankini while laughing, texting, and shooting scenes with Stacie Hall (the bartender from last season), who now has a solid supporting role.

And as previously reported, The Hills has moved from Monday night to Tuesday night and premieres Tuesday, September 29 at 10 pm, followed by Whitney Port’s The City.

MTV’s senior vice president, Liz Gateley, is excited that Kristin is back, telling, “She is the same Kristin we know and love — not afraid to mix things up. Her presence has really changed every dynamic within the cast, especially with Audrina [Patridge] and Justin Bobby.”
